Obituary for Margaret Jane Farr

FARR, Margaret Jane (nee: Porteous) – peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, May 30, 2016. Margaret was in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Len Farr (2010). Cherished mother of Marjorie DeJong, Diane Farr, Susan Curry and Kristine (Murray) Anderson. Proud gramma of Scott (Cathy) DeJong, Melissa (Ryan) Skelton, Sarah (Devin) Willey-Thomas, Laura (Kevin) Cochran, Grace, Christopher and Charlotte Curry, Robert and William Anderson. Great-gramma of Maisy and Wyatt. Also survived by her close friends Eleanor Grist, Jean Tipper, Margaret Fitzgerald and Bob Cooper. Predeceased by her parents Mabel and James Porteous and her sister Barb Porteous. A special thank you to the caregivers at both St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre and at the Brantford General Hospital. Also to the ladies at the St. Joseph’s Cafe. Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 1-2 p.m., with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations to the St. Joseph’s Lifecare Foundation would be greatly appreciated. www.dennistoll.ca
