Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. The Lord called her home on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the age of 80. Beloved wife of the late Wyn VanderSchee (2003). Loving mother of Louise and Tony Van Wyngaarden, Anne and Arnie VanderHeyden, Evelyn Smith and Rhonda Leaist. Cherished Oma of Anthony (Michelle), Emily (Shawn), Natalie (Shane), Kathryn, Josiah, Maryka, Wyatt, Carley, Rachel (Sanford), Danielle (Will), Claire, Eric, Abigail, Isabel and Mark. Great Oma of Channel, Everleigh and Trinity. Dear sister of Bill Hoekman (and the late Mettie), Anne and Nick De Koning, Tom and Grace Hoekman, Helen and Martin Boomsma and Mans and Rose Hoekman. Dear sister-in-law of Andy and the late Jacob, and in Holland, Chris and Jopie, Jannie (and the late Arie Lagerwerf) and Loes and Gerrit De Munnik. Femmie will also be missed by Jeff Leaist, Wyn’s special cousin, Adrian VanderSchee. Femmie was born in Holland and came to Canada with her family in 1950. She married her beloved Wyn in 1957, began her family and was a wonderful blessing to her family and those that knew her. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross St., Brantford on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will take place at Hope Christian Reformed Church, 64 Buchanan Drive, Brantford on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 1 p.m. donations to the charity of your choice appreciated.
