It is with deep sadness that the family of Nicole Gisèle Fournier (nee Tremblay) announces her passing after a courageous battle with cancer. Nickie died peacefully at home on April 24, 2016 with her loyal and loving husband Yvon and her sister Lise by her side. Nicole will be dearly missed by her family, including: husband Yvon Fournier, mother Eliane Tremblay, siblings Lise (Paul), Carole (Bert), Linda (Jake), Denis (Sue), Gerry, and by her in laws: Thérèse Fournier (mother in law), Marc (Emilie), Denise as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. While we are deeply saddened to let go of such a bright light in our lives, we are comforted to know that Nickie is now walking hand in hand in heaven with her beloved daughter Natalie. Heartfelt thanks are extended to the many doctors and nurses who cared for Nicole, including Dr. Brian Lee and his staff at the Brantford Cancer Clinic and Dr. Gladstone and nurse Tracy from St. Joseph's hospice, as well as staff at VON and CCAC. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Sudbury at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Cancer Society, the Sunshine Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
