Condolences

Condolence From: Saundra Burns
Condolence: Dear Maria, Emily, Isaac, Sherri, Matt, Breanna, Doug and Debbie: What to say following the loss of a special and loving nephew. I can't imagine living and not being able to see him again. We are all left with treasured cherished memories of John. One kind and gentle memory I will keep forever...Doug meets us each Wednesday at Tim Horton's...there were times John would be with Doug...when John would see us coming into Tim's, he would meet me at the door and greet me with a big hug...he was so special to me. I will love you forever John...Aunt Saundra

Condolence From: Debbie Dejong
Condolence: Dear Maria, Emily & Isaac, Doug & Debbie, Sherri & family, We can't begin to express how sorry we are for your loss. John was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and so much more. He has left so many special memories in so many people's hearts. Hold onto those memories and his love, as they will help you through the difficult times. May you be comforted in knowing that he is no longer in pain or suffering, but is now at peace in Heaven with our Lord and Saviour. One glorious day God will reunite you all in Heaven. Until then may God comfort you, give you strength, and pour His love on you. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uniformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. Our deepest sympathy, Debbie,Elliot, Tyler & Joshua Dejong

Condolence From: Hadley Burns
Condolence: HEY JOHN John ... what is going on ??? You left too soon buddy. I know you are in a better place right now. I know you are probably hanging out with your grandmother and grandfathers waiting for the rest of us to join you. If you run into my Mom and Dad up there say hello to them for me. I will be there when the time is right. Having said all that buddy YOU LEFT TOO DAM SOON. I know we don't have a thing to say about when our ticket is punched but it still HURTS not having you here. You, my friend, were a part of the most amazing family I EVER had ... or ever will have ... in my life. Remember the last time you were at the park in Brantford and you and I went for a walk. I wish we could have done that more often and walked longer. I was HONOURED nine years ago to have the chance to meet you. I know that is not a long time as far as family time spans go but for me it was more than enough to know that you were SPECIAL and ARE SPECIAL . I had a dream about two , maybe three weeks ago (it was about 2:30AM) that you had come into mine and Saundra's bedroom to say hi and to tell us that you would be leaving soon. As soon as the thought was in my head you were GONE. I looked at the clock and it said 2:34 AM. Saundra never woke up and I never told her about the dream but I will show her this piece you are helping me to write right now. I was SO SCARED Saundra and I would get a phone call sometime that morning that you had gone at 2:34 that morning I must have checked the time about a THOUSAND times hoping no phone call ... NO PHONE CALL. You hung around for a while buddy and for that I thank you. It gave me a little more time to think about how much I love you and about how much I DID NOT want you to go. I'm not "going to" miss you John because I ALREADY DO miss you. Technically John I guess I am your uncle. I married your aunt but I don't really think about you as my nephew. I think about you as my buddy. I love you John.

Condolence From: Uncle Dan Durrer
Condolence: A nicer person I have never met. I've never heard him say anything judgemental or negative about anyone. I've never heard him complain about his ailments or his lot in life. Ask him "how are you doing" and he always responded "life is great". A true and gentle family man. Nephew John, I will miss you. At the same time, I know you are now in the company of our Lord. May God bless.
