Obituary for Georgina Agnew

Georgina  Agnew
Peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice on Saturday, April 2, 2016, Georgina Agnew in her 79th year. Predeceased by her parents Hazel and Alfred Agnew and her siblings Hazel, Irene, Jim and Gilbert. Georgie is our loving aunt and will be greatly missed by Dale Shannon (Earl), Blake Agnew (Wendy), Glenn Palmer (Rosa), and the cherished great aunt of Julie Stark, Jennifer Vastagh (Joseph), Kristy Palmer, Christopher Palmer, Brent Shannon (Lori), Sarah Shannon, Michael Agnew (Holly), Paige Large (Patrick), Morgan Huigenbos (Peter). Georgina will be lovingly remembered by several other nieces and nephews. Georgie graduated from the Brantford General Hospital School of Nursing. She began her career at the Brantford General Hospital eventually working up to head nurse on the paediatric unit. She continued her education and became a teacher with Mohawk College, at the B.G.H. campus. Later she assumed an administrative role with Mohawk College at McMaster University where she remained until her retirement. Georgina dedicated her life to the nursing profession and was very proud of her accomplishments. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Monday (today) from 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday April 5, 2016 from 11 a.m. with service to follow in the chapel at 12
noon. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stedman Community Hospice, or M.U.M.C Paediatric Hospital, Hamilton, appreciated.
